Get to Know Summer

Summer was born in Baton Rouge and has been in New Orleans since 2008. Summer went back to Social Work School after working as a probation and parole officer for 11 years. Summer received her master’s degree in social work from Southern University New Orleans with a focus in clinical mental health. She received her Bachelor’s degree at LSU with a focus in criminal justice. Summer brings lots of experience to our practice. She has extensive knowledge in working with substance use disorders. She also is in recovery and has lived experience. She is passionate about helping her clients to achieve their goals.  

Summer is trained in DBT and has experience leading a DBT skills group.  In her spare time, she is active in her community and she loves to travel. Summer is currently working towards her LCSW licensure. She is excited to help you on your journey.
